Windy weather and wet weather will affect your signal. the longer the pole the dish is mounted onto, the more the potential movement. It will also depend on how well your dish is initially set up as to how much it will be affected.

I'm in Lancashire and last night my reception was lousy (especially on Eurobird) Wind gusts will blow the dish off and rain will further attenuate the signal. When the sun shines, reception will be fine.

the quality of the dish is also important, some of the dishes are nothing more than a dustbin lid.one guy i know had a 1.2m dish that kept losing its signal and he couldnt figure out why.i told him his dish was sh.t and replaced it with a triax88cm,he couldnt believe the difference in quality.this was also in the NW of england area.

it might not necessarily be sh.t,just not one of the better dishes that are available.Triax are a very good and reliable dish, even in bad weather.and theyre reasonably priced.would you put an aldi car stereo in a porsche??

If you get it on all sats you have a problem, possible LNB or connection.... is the dish moving when you change sats?

because the triax dish is a better quality than the 1.2m dish that the guy had. just cause you have a big dish doesnt mean its necessarily the best.

I had the same setup matey.... cheapo ISS 80cm dish (adequate!), could pick up most sats fine (just using monoblock now!), as someone said it sounds like something may have slipped, were you getting pictures off the no signal sats before?
Were you set up with usals?, do a sat search

All fixed now and back to normal have tweaked the adjustments on the Dish via the motor and i am getting better results and more stations than i had last week, like i say i am new to this but when you can take your time and sit down a learn how to use a product the results are always far more rewarding only trouble is TPS seems to be scrambled now.i guess thats for another posting.
