hi all
put a motorised dish up for my mum a month ago. everything has been ok to lately when it has been poor weather she gets no sygnal on some sats but when its good weather the sygnal is great. the dish is a 88cm triax with tech 2200 motor using usals and an inverto lnb.im thinking maybe its rain gettin somewhere it shouldnt or wind not to sure.
any advice would be great.
cheers:)

The rain will cause "rain fade", which means it will attenuate the signal.

Which sats do you have problems with?

How long is the cable, what is the cable?

Are you sure that you are following the arc correctly?, maybe a slight adjustment is needed.

Yes, make sure you waterproff the connectors, if water gets in there it can run down the inside of the dielectric. Since it is only a short length, it might be worth replacing it to make sure there isn't a problem. wf100 is good.

Not to get 28E on a TD88 means something is way off, as is is very strong.

As a quicky try flexing the dish a little (don't undo anything) to see if itimproves the signal quality)

Also have a look at the motorised dish setup guides, eg by rolfw and satelleliteman, they are in the stickies.
