Found in one of my Dad's old storage tins whilst clearing out today, he used to have a shelved wall full of these tins all labelled with component types2019-04-08 17.12.40-small.jpg2019-04-08 17.17.37-small.jpg.

Gibertini 1.25m motorised dish driven by the AD3000, with either Inverto BU Quad or Norsat / XMW Ka LNBs . SMW 1.05m + 3 other dishes. Speccy: Promax HD Ranger+

Nice collection. Never heard of the Pageant though.

The Pye Continental was our first TV, a fringe model which we needed in the 50's for any chance of receiving ITV in our area :(

I've been unearthing some of my test equipment I had stored away in the back room (looking for something completely unrelated), and came across this. Probably 1970 but possibly earlier.

Laminas 1.2M fibre dish with an IBU, on a Clarke Tech USALS motor, covering 57E - 24.5W to an Octagon SX88. Displayed on a 20" Dyon LED TV.

Seperate 80 cm dish on 28E with a Humax Freesat for SWMBO.
Free Sat V8 meter. Sony Bravia 46" LCD, Sony BluRay and Home Cinema.

That's brought back a few memories Rolf. Most of the badges are before my time as an apprentice, though I recognise GEC, Sobell, Murphy, Ferguson and Fidelity. We also used to service KB (Kolster-Brandes) and the Co-op own brand Defiant. Yes, I really did repair televisions for the Co-op.... We had to wear white coats (overalls) with a blue collar and I was often mistaken for either a mikman or the bread delivery man...
