CJ,

The seller (wyzcom) of the big dishes on eBay has a 1.8m channel master dish for sale, details below:

These are the details I was given:
1.8M Channel Master antenna with AZ/EL mount. This is MISSING the feed arms.
The plastic feed support and the matching feedhorn are present but NOT the arms.
Measurements for the arms are available so they can me made from aluminium rod or threaded steel bar.

Even accounting for shipping costs it might be an option for you, the seller seems to be asking decent value prices for his kit.

I am not currently in a position to buy/store big dishes (have enough issues keeping what I have), at least not until I move house - either this year or next.

And I would also want something that's complete. Doesn't need to be new by any means, but I don't want to make various parts for the dishes...

How much is he asking for that?

Martin : I know we always stress how vertical a pole has to be, but isn't checking it's temperature a bit OTT ?

Strange mount (two declination adjustments??), and unless it has a very advanced design, the dish is clearly warped at the bottom.
No-buy recommendation.

I was just wondering what it was, the dish brolly looks like it was properly made for it, what's the need for a brolly over the lnb, i can only guess its helps in the rain ?

The brolly is really a snow cover (but does work to some extent for raindrops), which we here in the Scandinavians have to accept is a reality in the winter.
When moisture (snow, rain) accumulates on LNB cover, reception is affected.
Especially important at the fringes (i.e. where I am).

A 1.8m Channel Master - prime focus with a polar mount.

Looks like an interesting lot. Although... unless you can find a Ku feedhorn, it's probably only really useful in C band. They stuck a 40mm offset LNB into the C band feedhorn there.

Would the scalar rings on the C band feedhorn not focus the signal efficiently if it was possible to bodge a C120 LNB into the centre of the feedhorn?

I do not see much rust on the "face" of the dish. Most likely, after washing this dish will look very good. Polar-mount could be little bit rusty, but so what? I do not know, will probably try to offer 50 with some hope that somebody will offer more

There is one plastic dish for sale not far from me :-doh seller says it is 2 meter, but I suspect it is 1,8m. Can that be Channel Master? From picture I can not recognize it. Looks like dish has 4 holes for screws. He is asking 220, perhaps too much. Of course, would be interesting to see whether he also has PM in the set. If it is CM180, I would probably go (last time, I promise  ) up to 150 EUR.
