The lighting did flicker first thing this morning, but I assumed it was very local.

Power fluctuations may have caused the camera to go offline, or reset.

There will be plenty of dishes requiring some adjustments this week, the Isle of Wight took the brunt of the winds.

Storm Bella: UK battered with 100mph winds as fears escalate for elderly living alone

but there is a lot of surface water joining the rivers over the next couple of days.

A lot of very good reasons for keeping your dishes as "down and dirty" as you can - AKA fit them as low and as well-sheltered as possible.

A calculated risk if one needs horizon to horizon coverage

Yup - do your "risk assessment" - and that should include trips up the ladder to realign the dish(es!), or even remount/replace them (?) after days and nights like we currently (and in the future) are/will be experiencing.

We've had hard sleet from the East in the past hour, no fun out there as I was clearing the car boot. Tomorrow isn't looking good for the area either.

Agreed, I moved my dish down to a flat roof adjacent too two walls. I have only lost anything past 15 west and 50 east.

Didn't see any sleet or snow today (then again, not been outside today until around 7pm) but there was only some dampness on the paving outside - so no "standstill", or at least around here.

Currently horizontal rain (through the bedroom air vents), from the west.

A large clear up tomorrow.
