... Delete "house" and insert "wife"

BE VERY CAREFUL
what you "say" - otherwise "someone" might get the "wrong idea"!:-rofl2

1.2Mtr Polar MTG yes it has been on the arc for 25 years and is now fixed on 13 East using two pairs of rusty molegrips. Unlike me they never groan but always perform.

Clear moonlit night here, and is now a frosty morning, rather jealous of a friend in Texas as he got snow before we did, snow, in Texas, when it's meant to be about 20+ degrees Celsius where he lives at this time of year....... <_<

And whilst Venice is drowning under record floods parts of North America are shivering under record cold for the time of year

I can't help but think there's some dead person's spirit saying "I told you so" after they said building a city in the water was a bad idea, Venice is just a disaster, would add "waiting to happen", but it has happened... :-doh

I did wonder how the Venice graveyards are doing.

After shooting the pool scene in the movie Poltergeist, actress JoBeth Williams later found out that the skeletons she was swimming around with in the mud were real. It was cheaper to buy them from a medical supply company then making them out of rubber at the time.

Reports coming in that smaller fires have merged into a single wall that is approximately 170 miles wide and moving eastward at approximately 3mph. The navy has been drafted in to pick up people from the coastline.

The weather is set to deteriorate again with high temperatures and winds reaching a peak on Saturday.

More reports from the coastal areas of 'megablazes' to follow a night of light rain.

Time to strap everything loose down, high winds expected across the whole of the UK from lunchtime onwards for another 72 hours.

No snow predicted in this neck of the woods, but there is a chance that the local rivers will be brought up to maximum levels less than a fortnight after the last rainfall.

It was a horrible drive back home this evening. Pissing down with rain. Strong winds blowing the rain & spray sideways across the road. Twigs coming down off the trees.

Not fun at all.

Yeah quite a blast that one but normal for our area (Outer Hebrides) at this time of year, wind speed was up to about 85mph with one gust at 102mph, power supply lost at 22.00 but restored by midnight (brave linesmen). The worst one since I've lived here was in 2005 with winds between 120-130 power lost for 4 days & tragically 5 lives lost. The only safe place is indoors.
