How much bigger ?

Someone told me that the difference between the horizontal signal
and the vertical was about 4 db.

At present i have an 3db twin invacom fitted to my Aris 3.10m Aris dish

What would you reckon i need to do to get vertical ?

I live in Fuerteventura. Last week I spoke to the guy who rebroadcasts BBC, ITV & Channel 4 by microwave. He said he will soon have a new set up which will cover all of Fuerteventura and will relay all the BBC & ITV channels (12 channels in total). Perhaps it will also cover Lanzarote and that’s what all the rumours are about.

He said that he would have more news soon.

Well the saga continues !

Will this be by Microwave signal restricted to the Canaries only or is it
likely to be an encrypted signal by satellite or FTA throughout Europe ?

Lots of rumour but no facts !

Well a drop of 3 dB is half the signal strength. So you need over double the collection area of the current dish :D You can do the maths...

Hers a fact. There isnt a chance in hell of it being fta across Europe by satellite. The BBC et al would be crucified by the programme suppliers for breaking their transmission agreements to restrict their coverage to the UK on 2D.
