BBC and ITV, Canaries Newbie question

My Satellite Setup
sky,Showtime,Supersports,Art,1.2 meter dish,Lacuna mk4 meter,Horizon ,satcatcher,
My Location
canary islands
Have a 1mtr dish in the canaries, is the only channels that im missing on the fta channels from astra2d the bbc and itv´s? or can i get more if i get a bigger dish? a 3mtr dish is out of the question for my apartment,, Thanks:confused

Sky Freesat in UK,
Astra 1 ana/dig in UK
using Technomate -5000 DAPCI,
Astra 2 South Beam and Eurobird in Spain.

Cornwall, UK
You will need a much bigger dish than 1 metre in the Canary Islands to pck up BBC & ITV. I am sure members in that part of world will advise you - be patient!

Trigger is your man, he can help you out with info for that region but until then I can give you some info as I have basic knowledge of reception issues in those parts.

1.2 to 1.35 will give you reliable signal from North / South beams and fixed beam from Eurobird only.

You won't get Steerable beam from Eurobird with this size dish. The next size up is the 3.1 prime for 2D and then not all transponders from 2D can be received :D

Satelliteman is spot on with the reply.
There are a few differences accross the islands but in general a 1.2 gets you most for your money.
