sorry rolwf, I saw you say plagues of locusts and perhaps earthquakes, and thats the exact quote Chris Pattern said the night before, on bbc4, about the UK not joining euro, well he said it wouldnt be quite that bad!! But then again I suppose it could have been from the bible or summit!!
