It is Free to Air, so if you have a big enough dish you can watch it.

Depends where you are located, in Stockholm a good 1.1M offset gets you the horizontal transponders on Astra 2D, like BBC and ITV.

You could mark your dish in its present position - swing it round to 28.2 East and try it.

If it doesn't work move it back to the markings and consider a larger dish.

The BBC channels come off Astra 2D and the main footprint for that sat is over the UK for copyright reasons.

You may get it with a bigger dish - this site has a lot of Swedish users who may be able help.

As i said earlier, i received 2D with a 90cm Gregorian dish, however that dish performs like a really good Offst 1.1M dish, so if you have a really good 1.1M Offset dish and live in Stockholm you will get the signal.

Of course you need one of the best LNBs on the market and a sensitive receiver.

For dish you either take your chance and buy the Gibertini 104cm and a Smart Titanium TSX 0.2dB LNB and you might get picture, or if you don't want to take the chance you buy the Gibertini 125cm with the same LNB and you WILL probably get a signal..

I don't know what town you live in as you aren't willing to give that information here.

I will assume you are down in Växjö or Jönköping somewhere, takes 3Hrs by car.

You can't compare that area with Stockholm, there is a spot over a small part of Stockholm that takes off fast if you go outside the area.

I live 150 km:s SE from you and I get the horisontal channels on 2d with a 100 cm dish and a very sensitive reciever (Humax),I loose the channels in heavy rain.

From reading other post from Swedes I guess the signal is a bit weaker at your location,I think you would need at least a 125 cm dish.Check out the swedish reception reports at astra2d.com.
