BBC News 24 is setting up an interactive news service to compete against Sky News Interactive. It will launch on digital satellite this autumn and allow viewers to access topic-based news, business and sports. The service is being developed by the BBC's new media department and will also let users access digital text and parts of BBC Online, the corporation's Internet service.
