Here in Cyprus I am equipped to receive all 2A and 2B N & S beams channels, but NOT the 2D satellite. Today, 28 April 04, I have lost Channel 508 BBC Parl'ment. All other 2A/2B channels are fine as previously. Does anyone else have problems? Has, maybe, the channel been moved onto 2D?

Yes, 'fraid so. It's been parallel-transmitted on the old transponder and on the new vertical one on 2d for quite a few weeks now. They must have just changed the network table to make digiboxes tune to the 2d signal (as happened during the big changeover last May).

You might still be able to get it by manual tuning to the old transponder (12129 V), but its days there are numbered.

Thanks for that confirmation Corrigap. So ANOTHER useful channel has moved onto the 2D spot beam (onto UK)! If many more are moved in this way I suspect many overseas viewers will be giving up their (paid in UK) SKY subscription. I reckon more people view SKY outside of UK than SKY maybe realise, in which case they might finish up killing off the Golden Goose (??)
