Post-match verdict on Portsmouth's FA Cup win against Cardiff

Commiserations to Cardiff. Their dressing-room will be the loneliest place in the world after the FA Cup final.

But for Portsmouth, the knowledge that you've just won the FA Cup is simply one of the best feelings you can experience.

Cardiff had two or three great chances in the first half and with a bit more quality and composure they might have been in front.

Portsmouth centre-halves Sol Campbell and Sylvain Distin had a torrid time in the first half but then they sorted it out.

At the other end, Cardiff goalkeeper Peter Enckelman was unfortunate as Kanu's goal sealed it for Portsmouth.
