Hi everyone,

I am a Chinese working in London. I am considering buying a satellite TV receiving system to watch Chinese and other Asian programmes. I don't want Sky digital, which offers only one Chinese Channel. When I was ion Australia years ago, I saw many Chinese families there had their own receiving systems, but these systems seem very rear in this country. I'd like to know what systems are available in UK and what you think can be the best option for me.
Thank you.

There is very little free to air chinese language TV available from here, you can see what's available at http://www.lyngsat.com/freetv/China.html most of the satellites do not have footprints available in this area, Australia is another matter altogether.

I believe that there is only one pay channel on Hotbird and that is quite expensive.

@ couloureye, other languages are fine providing they are accompanied by a translation. but my edit was to remove the business phone number as advertising is not allowed and had nothing to do with language.
