Benefits of patched 6 in1

Hi all,
Just another silly question, if my reciever is patched 6 in 1 what else do i need to watch some scrambled stations especially football. Is it that i need a fun card and a programmer and the appropriate files. Im still tryuing to get to grips with this whole thing .

My Satellite Setup
Technomate 5402 HD M2 Ci, DM7000s, Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Promax HD Ranger+ spectrum analyser.
My Location
Berkshire
Need to know more, what receiver, what is your dish setup and which satellites can you see?

I have a technomate 5500 DAPCI, fixed dish setup pointing at hotbird. Im hoping to get some footie but because of my location (sticks in ROI ) cant get Turksat!
