Can I ask a "stupid" question? Why is it so hard for the most of the abovementioned receivers to implement an accurate C/N rating in db? I could never "get" the usage of percentages in their satfinders and signal infos! Percentage of what? It's simply too non-sensical to someone who wants to read and compare signal levels! Am I being unreasonable here?

Agreed this receiver has the best blind scan of the lot, so far it has sniffed out 13 on 19E in Ka, but this receiver suffers the same as the others with similar software, it won't blind scan in any LNB user settings you set manually, a real shame, TM don't seem to take any notice.

.... If only one of the great programmers out there could look at this really important missing function that TM couldn't give a toss about ..... we live in hope , dream on :(

Linux has been a big disappointment as these receivers are capable of so much more but they do not cater for the Feed Hunting Enthusiasts
What do you mean? Main problem is hardware sensitivity. But you can do anything with the software.

The linux enviroment is capable for a multitude of features but unfortunately the manufacturers for Enigma2 (mipsel) receivers cater to the consumer who would mostly like to descramble encrypted channels and work with the EPG. This is why we essentially haven't seen anyone making a full DXer's receiver which would support fully Multistream/T2-MI/Encrypted TS/4:2:2 etc, although all of the above are more than doable. Some SH4 based chipsets such as STI 7111 (like on Amiko Alien 8900) do support Multistream with special patches and let's not forget the work of SatDreamGr team to support TBS cards on Enigma2 receivers with kernel above 3.8.
It's such a pity because without much interest from consumers, the manufacturers will not care to implement this hardware, and most unfortunately, neither the coders/developers of plugins that work on PCs (like Crazyscan) seem interested in adapting theirs for use in Enigma2!
But we live in hope!

Yes if the Hardware was supported on Linux but as mention in the previous post the will to do this is not there is no big profit margin in this type of receiver so the software will never be written sad to say,

So I will eventually give up on a satellite receiver being capable of all that is currently available via satellite in the Ku band 4:2:2 ~ Multi-Streaming ~ 16APSK~32APSK~codecs support~H265~4K Ultra HD & go down the tbs satellite card route reluctantly.

TBS5925 is supported in some Enigma2 images. And I personally rewrote the Blindscan plugin used by OE-Alliance several years ago to incorporate selective filtering of symbol rates etc. No blindscan software on any STB has the level of selective filtering that plugin does.

I use this plugin with my tbs on enigma2 however I would have loved a real time status on screen, unless I am missing something!
