Does this box happen to show signal quality if it's under lock, like the early F15 receiver software?

I hope this helps. This is what shows when you tune to a channel.

I think what CJ was asking is:

If the satellite signal is not strong enough to lock a picture, does the receiver signal meter bar show the signal level even though it is below the threshold for a picture lock?

I understand now, I will have a go at this today on some 26E channels. Hopefully I'll find the answer you are looking for.

Really liking the box, its just a shame that there are some flaws in the software which the Openbox never had. As previously mentioned, in the satellite menu - it moves the dish as you drill down the satellite list, rather than moving once say, the OK button is pressed. A nightmare if you're on 1W and want to get to 52E to do a TP scan. A few times this morning, ive been on 1W and from there I enter the satellite menu, as I highlight 52E from the list, the dish has moved there - fine. But then once I exit out of the menu, the dish moves back to the channel that I was on previously, in my case 1W. So there's a lot of unnecessery motor moving. Unless there's some sort of remote control combination that I need to use for it to stop doing this?

Thanks chaps.

Jack, can confirm that the box still reports a signal on a TP even if it doesn't lock - sadly couldn't get a screenshot in time for you but I encountered this just now with a feed on 7E. The signal strength/quality bars turn to a pink/red colour when it loses lock but was still reporting a quality of 30-35%.

I don't suppose anyone has found a way around the issue I described here? Hope it makes sense. My software version is October 2016 - Would anyone with this same box be able to confirm if it is the same with theirs? It's the only nag I have with this - was a nightmare today trying to go from 19.2E to 12.5W in the satellite installation menu as the damn thing kept moving and stopping on every satellite that I had stored in between. Had to frantically get to 12.5w quickly to avoid too many start/stop movements. Any tips on how I can avoid it doing this? I tried switching to diseqc 1,2 but then found that the dish wouldn't move at all so switched back to USALS.

The only disadvantage is setting positions

When you switch to 1,2 you have to move E/W find and store the satellite, its not automatic positioning, only once positons is found and saved.

Yes, agree this is a problem with the motor moving. On the Freesat forum many are asking for this to be fixed with the addition of pressing the OK button if you want the motor to move. Like Technomate, they seem not to be able to fix it or can't be bothered. A pity.

Is this also an issue with 1.2 control?
