In Central Italy the more importantfactor is the size of the dish. If you want everything - including the BBC stuff & the others on Astra 2D then you likely need a MUCH bigger dish

Hi Rob,
Invacom 0.3db lnb works best in our area m8.
Better than Smart Titanium and Sharp for sure, I know, I've tried them!
regards
D.

can anyone confirm that the invacom quad 0.3 lnb is still better than some of the 0.2 lnbs that are on offer now?

Apparently 0.2 noise figure is impossible- it's been made up by marketing departments. 'Beyond the laws of physics' was how a technical director once put it to me.
It's not just the noise figure that counts, it's also the cross-polar isolation figure, which is better on Invacom LNB's, and is a vital factor to consider if you are out of the UK trying to get Astra 2. It means interference between frequencies is less on an Invacom, resulting in better signal quality, or B.E.R. (bit error rate, lower errors the better)

Sharp are not very good LNB's, most perform OK when first put in but performance drops off after a year or two, and Sharp quality control is poor.
Your best bet is still Invacom, but not the all-in-one LNBF version.
Treat any LNB that claims less than 0.3 noise with suspicion- it just isn't possible to go lower than this figure.

I have 5-6 year old MTI 0.6dB AP8-TW C120 LNB's working much better than than these new very low figure LNB's..
C120 invacom (specificly quad version) is the best overall LNB on the market at the moment..
