boot up?

at boot up pc does not beep ,no signal to monitor or keyboard,checked nothing is loose ,i am presuming its either ram or motherboard ,any help please

Power supplies rarely go completely, have you got another unit you can swap it with?

no different with another power supply,thinking it must be motherboard , withtwo slots of ram running surely one would work if it was that

It could be your Porcessor, try removing it and re-seating it, sometimes works. Also check that the processor heatsink is fixed correctly and the fan is working.

If it has a seperate graphics card make sure that is correctly seated - it's amazing how much force is required to put them in, but they can sometime move and stop the machine - especially if it's been transported

thanks for all the replies ,have a look at the processor next,tried another slot of ram i had ,still no joy ,so ram ruled out ,psu ruled out ,processor?,graphics are built in,keep all updated ,cheers.ps never been moved around,worked one night ,next night it didnt?

I do not normally push anywhere especially somewhere that I have in the past had a problem but
try the Dell Outlet there are some bargains on there if you search properly, I today received a new pc for my daughter from the outlet yes old technology but Dimension 1100 2.8Ghz XP pro 512ram 80GB HD with seperate speakers £200.00 delivered..... a bargain.
