Looks like a sunny day today, more mowing and probably pull the Weber out again, not sure what I'll be cooking as yet, but, plenty time to decide...

Warm and sunny here too, so I've shampooed the carpets and got all the doors and windows open to aid drying.

It always amazes me how crap yer bog-standard vac is at actually picking up muck ... the shampooer water was filthy, even after three passes.

Somewhere in England (possibly?)!
Used the BBQ (gas, but that's what SWMBO wanted as she doesn't like charcoal ones) a couple of times so far - but had to power wash both the Ketter garden container in which the BBQ is stored, and the unit itself, to get rid of all the snails that get in there and crap all over everything , especially during the Winter. :(

Probably cos they're crap at actually beating the carpet to dislodge the dirt to aid in actually picking it up, there's a reason I have vintage ones that were designed properly... :-rofl2

My VAX Air stretch is incredible I have to be fair, really beats the carpets. My Miele S758 (1800W Beast) isn't bad either as that has an electric brush as well. But I prefer using the VAX upright. Used to have a Dyson Allergy and it was absolute crap and Hetty wasn't much cop either (I happily let the Ex take that)

Always have been!
Just got myself a new Gadget, a new Miele washing machine that has WiFi on it, thought that was a gimmick at first but I really like that now as I know when its done or if something has gone wrong when I'm out. It also self-dispenses its own detergent so no more messy powder.

Just decided to vacuum a few minutes ago, decided to give the Miele a go for a change, I normally just use this for the car but seems its actually better than the Vax, I think I stopped using it as the bags are so expensive. Maybe I'll use that one once a month instead.

Does it order your soap powder as well like the fridges order your yoghurts etc?

Yeah it can do, it knows the levels.
Think it can be automated or it prompts you.

There was an offer on and they send you 6 months free when you buy the machine, that turned up the other day in a big box. I thought it was something exciting but turned out to be that solution lol. But might last me a year as it's just me here.

You can use your own stuff in the machine too, but I thought i'd try this "Gimmick" but I have to say it works better than any powder I've used, it's 2 fluids and mixes them depending on colour/white, how dirty the clothes are etc.

What I feasted upon earlier (and yes I know I got my hand in the shot! It's not easy taking pictures in direct sunlight!!)...

BBQ Bacon Burgers.jpg

May not look great, but oh they tasted so amazing, which was impressive given the burger patties themselves were just off-the-shelf tesco hockey puck things...:-rofl2

They were nice, my only regret was not making more of the BBQ bacon (cooked the bacon indirect and slopped what was left of my BBQ sauce baste over it near the end of cooking), it was just great...

Yesterday's grub.
Have been sceptical about placing fish on a grill, where everything else (meat, veg) seem to stick like there's no tomorrow.
3 out of 7 salmon pieces stuck to the grille a bit, but most survived, and all were very tasty...

Very healthy. :)

Yep, the bacon made for a nice salad... :-rofl2

Oil the food before placing it on the grill, that way it'll help prevent sticking, and when cooking fish, use a fish slice (appropriately named) to aid in releasing the fish from the grill and using the tongs to turn it over... :)
