Not that I need it. Just for fun.
Got me an Intel 7 from US
A gigaboard from UK
An case from Denmark(Andersen) and a power unit from the same maker (550w)
Got memories from Sweden
SSD from China 240gb
And a cooler from Sweden as well

Still waiting for the China post, the rest is here and it´s time to start building.
I wonder what my Win10 will say when everything has changed ?

A little less analogue, and a lot more crap.

I had no issue changing from AMD to Intel two weeks ago using Win7, and I was expecting a lot of grief.

It has always had the 'non genuine' warning in the corner, since the hologram badge and number belong to the Acer laptop in the back room, perhaps that helped ?

Changing the motherboard on a win7 setup knackers the o/s activation. You need a different activation key for it.

In effect there is a hardware snapshot taken at activation. You can make some changes (adding hard drives, changing / adding a dvd drive) without problems but a mobo is too big a change.

Think you are correct - probably would need a phone call to Micros**t with a "very good" explanation of why you made the changes!

Are we allowed to discuss the use of SLIC's in modded BIOS versions?

As mentioned the change (of almost everything inside the case) did not faze the Win 7 o/s in the harddrive, which was quite a relief. The tower has also accepted some official MS updates since the replacement parts.

As I am running w10 and I have a digital licens it will work for me (they say)
Last item got to the post today so after paying VAT it will de delivered.
So, the building the desktop will start tomorrow.
IF I just copy everything to a new ssd then I should be able to use the old computer(me think) as well as the new one.
Maybe I will find out lol
This new one will be fine for some heavy gaming don´t you think ??

Up and running, very fast but of course I had to call Microsoft for activation.
Got to talk to a nice guy, working in Greece and it was sorted in a few clicks.
I have 2*8 ram ddr4 and no extern videocard, works fine with what in on-board
