Hi

I want to buy a DB 500s, and I’ve done some research online but a question is coming into my head are this sites selling original DB or China ones??

Can someone advise trust online shops where I can buy a original.

Many thanks

DM stopped selling/ making 500s the end of 2006. It's probably gonna be a fake (they were about £150-170 when they were sold).

Look for secondhand 7000S or 7020S. There are no clones AFAIK and have better features.

There is now no advantage in buying original DB500 vs clone. Just as many genuine DB500 receivers were destroyed by the Gemini virus.

The important caution is do not load any current image on your DB500 - genuine or clone. Avoid any image released in 2008. As long as you stick to images released in 2007 you will be ok.

Have you considered the DM600PVR for ~ 200 pounds ?
I think that you can order it without the HDD and save you a bit of cash and add it later when you can.

You cannot buy an original new from any suppliers online they are out of stock and discontinued. i know of people who have bought Dreamboxx 500T clone and everything works fine except some channels are missing compared with the original due to a weak spot in the tuner.
