My first play at C Band extended at 40W seems to be OK. Using a corotor with the ku gubbings removed, a polo pipe made by Trust, with a cheapo extended LNB from China..Just a pity i can't get around to 65W..

Your picture of the lnb's illustrates what a DX is all about: for a weak signal, we install an actual "industry" to lock it down. Wow!

I'm not using any of those shown in the picture, i'm using a 'Solid' 3.7-4.8GHz lnbf iv'e obtained from @anto@ to do a comparison exercise between a cheap 3.6 -4.8GHz lnbf against a far more expensive Norsat 8000RI lnb.

How does the SOLID compare to the Norsat

For the price - not too bad at all.
It seems to suffer from 5G infestation slightly more than the Norsat .. ie: a strong burst from the 5G nasty i have at 3.680 washes further down the band over the signals to what the Norsat does.
Gain and band flatness over the recieve span are very similar, the Norsat is better , frequency stability is pretty good for general purpose use, so all in all not too bad at all for the price
