I've tried to make the ideal C/ku combi by adding a BlackUltra single lnb behind a Golden Interstar C band LNB.
Did a lot of modfications and tests but did not managed to get it as good as with separete lnb's .
So I decided to put all 3 lnb's (C lin. KU and C circ.) in front of the sub reflector by a lnb changer .
Not on the roof yet , have to make a gear and motor steering .

Wim, I would be VERY interested in something like this. So make a couple of examples!

I was actually thinking earlier when I swapped back to the Ku LNB today whether it would be possible to put the C band one at an offset level... but still from the sub reflector? It was too cold to try today but wondered if that would be an option ?

I like this, but...... it is very human-mechanical. I also have tried C/Ku LNB, which was out of shelf one, and did not like results at all. I think that idea of making revolving mechanism to mechanically change LNB is most proper option. Anyway, to get all possible feeds, we need C, C-circular, Ku and Ku-circular, so, maximum 4 LNBs. I see this mechanism operated by servo-motor, mechanically or electronically via some kind of fibo-like box.

There are some nice projects on that site - very interesting reads. Remlap - you need a Fibo :) There's a 90cm one on eBay doing the rounds... you know you want it :)

Is that a problem ?
Well, 12 hours after registering I'm still waiting for my account to be approved. And I don't understand why you would need an account just to read posts. Is there something secret on there?
