Good morning from a sunny Mullion Cove Cornwall : )

Thank you all for contributing, the information has been perfect in helping me make a decision.

S Band has an Av-Comm C Band Waveguide Polariser and a Zinwell Dual Polarity C Band LNBF, which I have agreed to purchase.

S-Band also with out any request from myself offered it on sale or return, which it much appreciated : )

I shall re- log the number of satellites and stations strength before and after fitting and post the results.

I feel like a child at Christmas, though I look more like Father Christmas : )

God Bless Spiff

The AV-Comm polariser is the bee's knees. Outperforms any dielectric...

Good morning the sun is out again : )

I had been looking at one of the posts above about the reception of Voyager.

1 then started to think about radio astronomy and wondered about using reception from receivers spread out in a group such as ours ?

Just to be a small part of something like that would be incredible : )

Astronomers see galaxies in ultra-high definition

Good afternoon from a warm but overcast Mullion Cove Cornwall.

None of this is any reflection on the seller S Band, who packed and posted it quickly, even offering to let me try it first on SOR : )

S Band is a gentleman of the first degree.

Hermes delivered yesterday a week late.

I contacted their CEO, and received a telephone call from a lady who said that she was his personal assistant.

8.30am is not our kind of time, which is why we normally leave the landline un-plugged : )

Hermes found the package and delived it super fast.

In defence we often work late online, honest.

There are lots of horror story's about this carrier.

Recently a watch dog caught them out selling perfectly addressed packages to an auction company ?

Have a read on Trust Pilot before you use Hermes.

I am impressed with the units appearance, now to test it all.

Thank you again to S Band.

God Bless Spiff

i forgot to update here, but for what its worth, i am not seeing any improvement when using the AVCOMM polariser on my 1.8m maybe its better on PF dishes, as opposed to Offset. not sure if im doing something wrong, its LNB into Pipe, with scaler hood on the end of pipe, tried many tweaks, but all equal or just under perform a T plate - #justsaying

LNBF has to be shoved into the polo pipe at a specific orientation of its twin probes to the internal steps of the polo pipe.
Might just be that for your setup there is no added value from a polo pipe, nowt so queer as C-Band.

Have you got imagery of what were you using previously and what is now fitted ?

I had the same results as yourself, the T plate was equal or better on a prime focus dish on C band.
I tried all the recommended settings.

Good evening Channel Hopper, I was told not to pay but try it first, which I did, so I just paid return postage.

strange re polariser, tried zinwell, and cheapie 5g filtering LNB in pipe, but neither outperformed the titanium using a TPLATE - i would like to try the Titanium in the pipe, but its slightly too large to fit in.

Get the pipe árse end internals skimmed by a man with a lathe, that what I did.
The other thing I did was to rub down the outside of the Titanium with wet and dry paper and filed off the rim lip.

If I am correct you cut away some of the end of the Titanium so it will not be the rim lip of the LNBF that is stopping it fitting.

Did that with my Mediastar LNB, allows it to be pushed in the the polo pipe more for optimal tweaking..Took about 13mm off I think. It's in a thread on here somewhere, John did it...

Aye, a lathe or a man with a lathe is reet useful for some of this dx modding caper.
