Don't think so, but how have you managed to fit a skystar2 in a laptop?

New one on me. can't seem to find info on one and would doubt whether the PCMCIA slot would have sufficient power to supply 18v to the LNB. I have however seen PCMCIA DVB-T receivers.

Yes, I think they do work, but the question then arises, would you be able to use the PCMCIA slot as a Common Interface slot and use it for a Dragon CAM, I guess the answer is probably no, as I haven't heard of anyone doing so.

Your right it was a PCMCIA DVB-T. Just had the same yellow/orange colour on the card.

I have a desktop equipped with Twinhan VP-1020A (no CI!). Is there any possibilty to use a Matrix Reloaded CAM (with a valid subscription Smartcard) in a separate PCI to PCMCIA adapter in order to decrypt the subscribed channels?

You will probably need to do it with a serial programmer using poor man's cam or similar.

I mean that poor man's cam supports only Nagra1 and I cannot subscribe to providers which are using Nagra2. Is this correct?

Or maybe is more adequate to use a cardsharing software. That is:
I will install one PCI to PCMCIA adapter into my desktop, install the MR CAM together with the subscription card in this adapter. The CS server will take the keys from this "assembly", publish them on localhost (127.0.0.1) and with one CS plugin for ProgDVB I'll take the keys and use them to decrypt the streams broadcasted by the providers I am subscribed to.

Do you think that this will work?

Sorry, but I do not have the equipment yet (the adapter and the subscription card) and I don't want to buy it & subscribe to test this.

I will appreciate any advice you can give to me!
