Hi all!
I'm having a few problems tuning into a Hotbird frequency.

12476 - 27500 - 3/4 - H.

My SL55 Lidl box won't tune into it. Every time I try it goes haywire and resets itself. Can anyone out there suggest a solution?

I believe that I may be able to see the cricket from Pakistan if I can get it to work.

Cheers,
mrtomato.:-doh!

Hi mrtomato,
check your receivers instruction manual and check your LNB settings, it could be that your LNB is not set up to receive high frequencies, even after locating the channels I doubt if you'll get the cricket as there would be some information if there was an available feed.
Best wishes
Mickha

I'm using a Yellow Cap monoblock.

How do I adjust it? Everything else scans fine.

That particular transponder's IF is right at the beginning of the frequency band used by DECT telephones, do you have one nearby?

Do you mean Digital home phones?

Yes, there's one right by the TV!

I'll try to unplug and re-scan.

Nothing.
Come to think of it the phone has been there all the time I've had the system. I can't see how it would suddenly interfere.
At the same time I can't understand why the SL55 should start rejecting this particular frequency either. Everything else works perfectly.

I'm rather at my wits end here.

Did you switch off both the base station at the mains and remove the phone hadset from the room?

Has your SL55 ever received those channels?

Yeah - nothing.

This is quite bizarre.
I don't think it has ever received this frequency before but when I've done a full satellite scan previously I have never seen the box stop at 12476 and go haywire.

I can either give up or risk a factory default settings job.

I just don't get it! What frustrates me is people on other forums saying how much they've enjoyed free cricket on ARY Digital this morning.

My FTA box just won't tune in to 12476 on 13East.

Just as a matter of interest, can you receive the transponders immediately above and below?

There is a known problem with this transponder on the Porty 2, I think it's a software bug, the only way I've found round it is to do pid scan for the exact channel you want. A quick way out of the lock up is to switch off, remove the dish cable from the back of the receiver, switch on, change transponder and put the cable back!

Nope! Didn't work.
Maybe I should just accept that I've got a very average, if cheap and reliable receiver.

What did you mean by 'change transponder'?

New TR? Please enlighten me.

I'm sorry - I'm not an idiot, just not totally familiar with all the sat-speak yet!

New TR sounds exciting though!

Have you upgraded the software on your box at all?
I've tried the instructions you gave me, but the screen still went crazy and the box reset.
Should I maybe delete that particular transponder and then type it in again as you suggested?
