Looking at the footprint for that beam here it suggests that UK is in the 48 dBw area which equates to 60cm dish but if you want a bad weather safety factor then just get an 80cm. Presume you are going to buy a subscription as it is encryted using cryptoworks

Yup - 80cm plenty big enough for the European B beam on W3A. Its a MUCH stronger satellite than the beams off the old W3.

Or an OPOS card. Getting good reception in NW England with 80cm dish.

Digiturk, as far as I know, is mainly located on Beam C, which has a slightly weaker signal. I would advise an 80cm dish for a consistant signal. 60cm will not be enough in bad weather.

Also, if you manage to find a Digiturk dealer, please let me know! I have been looking for months for a dealer but to no avail, and the Opos solution does not sound reliable enough.

Nah - Digiturk is on the B beam. Nice and strong in the UK.

I want to get digiturk. I am thinking about buying the Phoenix Apollo CI+MC Receiver. I can get a viewing card, but getting conflicting advice on dish size. The company i contacted re installation have said I need at least 1mtr dish, but reading above, it looks like an 80cm would be OK. Any help guys? I live in Burton on Trent , 2nd floor flat and very high up.If anyone knows where to buy the viewing card at a good price would also be grateful
Thanks

80cm will be fine in most of the UK. Cant help you with a dealer though.

Nope, sure isn't. :) May be cheaper if bought in Turkey though. :)

And that's the European package which has far less channels.

The cinema package (which includes all channels except the erotic ones and Lig TV) is about 200 pounds a year.
