Hi Everyone,

I have scoured lots of websites, bulletin boards and astra2d.co.uk to try to find out an answer to my question, but am still unsure of the answer. I received the following information from my new friend Richard in Fuerteventura which I would like to verify if anyone else can share their experience please (I am in Gran Canaria south)....

"In Fuerteventura we use a 1.4 metre offset elliptical dish. It is 1.4 metres high and 1.2 metres wide. You should be able to receive Astra 2A north & south, and Astra 2B south, without any problems.
The footprint for Astra 2B north does not reach the Canary Islands, not even with a 3.7 metre dish! "

I have checked the transponder listings and will be quite happy with reception of Astra 2A north & south, and Astra 2B south. I have 2 PACE 2200´s and a MK I SKY+. I am currently intending to buy the following from ciberland.com, please can someone confirm if this will get me the channels on these beams with my equipment....

AP0022 Offset parabolic 1.85m dish with fixed mount
LNB010 INVACOM QUAD 0,3 dB LNB (4 independent outputs)
721063 Support suitable for this dish

Thanks everyone for your help. I don´t want to fork out 500 euros if it isn´t going to work!

Is that a typo?? I would have thought it is 2D reception which would be the real problem, even on a 3.7m dish (rather than 2B north). Looking at the footprints I would have thought that a 3.7m dish, well adjusted, would easily receive all 2A and 2B transponders. Maybe for 2D you would require a 4m dish.
