Can't find Hispasat

Is it me or is this this the hardest satellite to find? I have a 80cm dish, based in lancs. I have no problems finding 1w, 5e, 7e, 10e ,13e, 16, 19e, 28e, 42e, but 30w no chance. any ideas?

What are you using for your default transponder, it may be an inactive one.

All the Satellites you list are in the East except 1 West.

Can you receive any other West satellite positions or is it just 30W?

Are you using a motor?

Not really tried much else on west, can get a signal on 4w amos, but its quite poor

I suspect you have a minor setup problem. Are you able to manually tweak the dish whilst being able to see the results on screen or on a meter?
Hope it's not the bamboo shoots in the wok

i've nudged the disc west, but cannot get a signal. is there a transponder that is stronger than others?

If you can only move the dish on a horizontal channel, it would suggest that the motor needs a grease job, or one of your connections is not great, as it is requiring 18volts to move.
