Can't get a quality signal

Have you actually recieved anything on this box before and can confirm it's working ??. Just seems a bit odd, we normally have a least a picture of some sort by now.

O.K. Success at last , GOT 81% LEVEL 60% QUALITY, got all the channels from Hotbird,

Lancelot, was thinking that myself, I gave up, suddenly out of the blue, a green quality signal flashed across the screen, then went, the next time it appeared, I stored it.

Whats the best way of getting the other satellites?

If you got that one by moving the whole assembly on the mount, then all you have to do is move it around by roughly 13 degrees and increase the elevation on the dish face by about 3 degrees and find 1W, then lock of and the arc will be near as dammit.

REBEL has obviously gone goggle eyed with all the channels he is now able to receive. We all very pleased for you

I got 4 sats, stored the signal, I got Astra 19, Astra 28.2, Hotbird and one other one, all in the East, none in the west, lost them all trying to get Thor 1W. Good thing is that level was 85% and Quality was 85% on Astra 28.2 without any tweaking. Topper, yep it was a bit of a dramatic post, glad it worked, all the equiptment is new and it works, thats the main reason for being pleased. Bought one bracket for £10, it caved in when the motor was being mounted. O.K. back to the search and find mission.......
Spent 10 years selling Sky Satellite Systems, never ever installed one.....

Question: got 85% level and 85% quality on Hisaspat 11178 but the dish was pointing towards Thor 1W, is this possible?

Surely some mistake?

There's an occasional feed on 1W on that frequency, but no transponder that I'm aware of on Hispasat.

What details does it show regarding symbol rate etc. on your Fortec?

Hi I'm having simimar problems as you from start
I have uploaded hotbird channels from pc onto sat receiver
not getting green line on any channels
did a powerscan on system and certain channels have been found
these channels are fta and can be seen
not sure how i get the first load of channels which i uploaded to work
any idea?
i read that you just disconnected and connected all wires and it made a difference
will try this as well

well my bro moved the one of the lnbs and we have now got hotbird channels working as well as Eurotel for 16 degrees east

cant get any others working though

can anyone give me tips on getting Astra 3 satellite

You can receive only a couple of transponders on that satellite, unless you have a 1m plus dish.

The easiest one to get is 10758 V 22000-7/8

This a High Definition, so unless you have a Dreambox or a PC satellite card, you won't be able to watch it.

not sure why it has stopped now

anyway does anyone now where I can find any hex keys that actually do work or where I can search for sat programmes to hack

I also need a program to upload the keys onto my system from the laptop

Not really sure what you are doing, what is your exact setup, what do you have your dish pointed at at the moment and what size is it?
