I hooked a guy up today with a 80cm fixed dish with a 0.6db lnb but were only able to get west beam but all the good stuff he said is on the other beam, do i go bigger with the dish and maybe add a 0.3db lnb ?

Please advise guys, cheers.

I'll not be able to sleep now for laughing, try a 5mtr dish instead you should just squeeze a signal out of the East beam

Sorry I shouldn't laugh but honestly you have not a prayer

LOL, A 5 mtr dish might be a bit out the question, well the guy seems to think that his mate in the same street is getting east beam signals with a 110cm, hmm i`m thinking he could be telling porkies :)

Now seroiously is it that difficult to cath the east beam from the UK ?

Cheers in advance dude :)

You might try for the following east beam (according to FlySat) transponders on Turksat 3A, 42 east.
11554H, 2916, ITV AZERBAYAN.
11607H, 3750, AzTV Azerbaijan.
My box takes a few seconds to get a lock on those two. THey are the only east beam transmissions that I have ever received from 42 east.
