Card Programming by Receiver!!!

Hello;
Someone says that i can program viaccess and irdeto cards by a windows software via my humax5400 receiver!!! is this true and how can i obtain it?

Technomate 5402 HD M2 Ci, DM7000s, Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Promax HD Ranger+ spectrum analyser.

Well, if it's around H, I certainly havn't seen it and I've certainly not heard of anyone doing it either. They may be getting confused with PC based decryption programs such as wallbanger, which use a season interface in place of a card to decrypt.

How about using the cam in a notebook directly ? Does that work instead of a programmer ?

No, don't believe so, again I have never heard anyone talking about it so the chances are it's not possible.

Unfortunately I'm not sufficiently well versed in the internal workings of CAMs etc to be able to give you any reasons why it wont.
