And as you probably know the separation was a success!!!!,can't wait for the pictures from Titan, think it's in about 2 weeks. Can you imagine seeing a view of mountains, clouds and liquid oceans (although they are made from lighter fluid!!)on another world!!!.Blows yer mind!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its a European probe - Its signals are relayed by a NASA probe

Then theres software that should been programmed accordingly for the various flybys and that of Saturns forces (seven years ago), as well as having the right distance dimensions (ft vs metres )incorporated in the drop trajectory. All of which take into account the revised time coordinates the probe has encountered in the journey away from the Sun.

If it happens as it was planned a decade ago it will be something to rejoyce in.

Then theres the different focusing techniques required for the different gaseous atmosphere , lighting, pressures, temperatures and gravitational effects that are on this moon of Saturn.

I am really hoping for success, I do however believe what we are about to receive is a very small glimpse of what is actually there.

As for life, its on another planet, but not as we know it , Jim

Just so that you know ESA is starting a new satellite channel on Astra 19.2E on Friday(according to Digital Satellite Choice Magazine), obviously using the probe as a launch platform for the channel. Its supposed to cover press conferences, etc before the approach and then show it live!

I'll have a look for the xponder info in a bit and then edit this post, unless someone beats me to it.
