Evening gentlemen... <sniff>

I have an original CD, protected (as I'm told by 'Clony XXL' and 'Protection Detection') with CD-COPS.

I want to make backup copy of it - purely to avoid the hassle of sending the damaged disc through the post and waiting for a replacement from the manufacturer, you understand.

CloneCD - doesn't work.
Alcohol 120% should have worked, but didn't. I set the protection to cd-cops, and it read the disc aswell as data position measurement. But with burnt disc or virtual disc, the app doesn't boot.

Any thoughts?

I take it were talking about a music disc?

if so, rip the tracks as WAV or MP3 to your C drive, then burn as Audio with Nero or whatever your choice of burning software is.

i have found most protection only works best when copying disc to disc....

other than that, let me know what it is and ill send it you lol

cd cops protection is normally on pc games,you might find a solution on gamecopyworld forums,easy to find on google.

I Do the same as Red Devil copy them into my i tunes, and then burn a new disc. Never failed to copy any music disc yet. Keep us updated anyway.

thanks, lads, but no it isn't a music cd. it's a mcmillan english dictionary cdrom, and it's starting to annoy me.

i managed to find a copy of "mclallo" from the web, but as yet this doesn't work..
