My Satellite Setup
Dreambox 7000S, VU+ Solo2, 1.1m Dish, Moteck SG-2100A DISEQC Motor
My Location
Rochdale
right heres the situation :)

i have loads of mp3s on my pc, but would like to have easy access to them downstairs through the dreambox

is there a way to stream mp3 files through the DB or do i have to actually send them over the network..

i know they play as i have Guns n Roses greatest hits playing at the moment :)

is there a program/addon to beable to do this without FTP ing all the tracks over?

The only way would be to mount your computer hard disk to your Dreambox via the network.

just make sure u copy them to the /hdd

then they should play from there.

If this doesn't work then u could set your computer up as a radio station however you won't be able to change the tracks they would be in a playlist.

You could also try the ogg-vorbis-player from

Klona reckons it'll play them off your HDD.

Not tried it. Many other cute plugins here.
