I have 4HD on my Freeview Lite TVHeadend and Euronews HD from YouTube piped with streamlink using an m3u8. No other channels I am missing.

Code:
#EXTM3U
  #EXTINF:-1 tvh-chnum="233",euronews HD
  pipe:///usr/local/bin/streamlink https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ah04R0okNbQ best --stdout

I am grabbing EPG data for Euronews and ITV3 (Currently testing on Freeview Lite without data) from tv_grab_uk_tvguide

Then I use my little Raspberry Pi with LibreElec.

Go to Manual Tune mode

Scan the relevant TP 11127 V and save the Channel. Edit out any crap alongside it, so you've got C4HD on 5001

Engage Web IF then Channel Editor

Import Data From Foxsat

You'll see 5001 at the bottom of the resulting list

Open the box marked non-Freesat alongside the C4HD label, select Freesat

Scroll back to top of page and Save Changes

Once prompted, reboot

You'll then find C4HD at the end of the Freesat Channel list

Hmm... followed your steps (transponder was 11126v - strong signal) Foxsat found 4HD alright and did the import/edit/reboot. 4HD is now on my epg at 5749 but showing No or Bad signal (meter says great signal, btw) so have they pulled it from FTA too?

Edit: after inputting the frequency manually I found it at 1127v and on channel 5830 - thanks!!

Channel 4 HD working fine: Did you Save Changes before rebooting ...... that step isn't mentioned in your Import > Edit > Reboot?

PS, as you have it on 5749, I assume you've got loads of other non-Freesat Channels stored, as they start at 5001.

Try going into Edit on the box, and moving C4HD to 5001 and then repeating the process via Web IF ..... just wondering if there are number range limitations somewhere.

Edit: I see you've sorted it! :Y

Unfortunately, Vintage TV is also leaving Freesat on 17/5/18 due to the new pricing structure.

A whole host of other channels have left already. Off the top of my head these include 4Music, All 4, all of the box music channels, TJC Choice, and 5 Star +1.

The result is less income for Freesat and less choice for the viewer. Instead of paying the increased fees asked for, broadcasters appear to be reducing their prescence or leaving the platform altogether.

Some of the FTA channels also have HD variants that they haven't added to Freesat, now we know why. I'm beginning to wonder if Freesports HD or the forthcoming Quest HD will join either :(

Lets be brutally honest - hardly any of those channels you list are much of a loss. Music TV is finished as a linear tv genre these days - when anyone can watch exactly what they want to when they want to on any mobile device hardly anyone is going to sit around and watch a lot of filler dross until their favourite artists come around again.

A second or third string channel from C5 & a low budget shopping channel that sells overpriced tat to anyone daft enough to pay their prices?? Good riddance.

True, but this drip drip effect is making the platform less attractive overall.

I think most people are concerned about losing Channel 4 HD, and sports fans may not be happy if Quest HD and Freesports HD don't appear. A lot of the news channels haven't bothered adding their HD variants either.

Vintage TV have asked anyone concerned about this to complain using this link:

Vintage TV is one of our faves.

Fortunately the Foxsat with modified Firmware will let me put it back on my Freesat EPG, as I've already done with Channel 4 HD :Y

Same here. Some of the sci fi and horror films are unique to this channel.

Good riddance.
Unfortunately losing channels is losing revenue for Freesat who already have a rising debt.
It would seem that more broadcasters are realising Freesat's EPG fees are poor value for money - £36k (and even more for HD) for just over 2 million potential viewers compared to Sky at £75k for around 10 million viewers (just over twice the price for 4 to 5 times the audience size. With advertising revenue being spread across more channels and other media the bean counters are looking more intensely at their expenditure. Could this spell the beginning of the end of the Freesat EPG.

Really?? I guarantee the loss of these will hardly be noticed by 98% of viewers. Vintage is a bit of a shame but I stopped watching it shortly after it started simply because the adverts make it almost unwatchable for any length of time. I can watch the same vids on YT with absolutely no adverts whatsoever with a few browser add ons :D

It won't end completely whatever happens. It's primary purpose is to serve the PSB channels to those who cannot get Freeview.

It won't help though.

It's looking like it's backfired on Freesat, no extra income and a poorer line up to attract people to the platform.

That's a shame. The channels are still really available on all satellite receivers free to air.
