Hi samoloko
On my Channel Master polar moun,t the pivot bolts are 5/16 UNF so unless you are going to drill them out yo will need a bush with a internal diameter of 5/16 of a inch

They should be OK but go with imperial measurements on that site.

I got problems with Imperial bolts and nuts
I have chosen bearingshopuk.co.uk/obf121512-25543-p.asp andbearingshopuk.co.uk/ob081212-25272-p.asp
that way I can use M8 pivot bolts

Hi Samoloko,

I have minimized the "slash" in the polarmount after replacing the 5/16" x 1/2" bearings to near zero.

Regarding 28.2° I can receive Astra 2F UK beam but not 2E.

(Have ordered a new C120 Invacom LNB, but I would presume your question should have been posted in another tread?.)

Best regards Michael.

I think they are called flange bearings. Google and eBay brings up a good number of links for them.

Hi Samoloko,

Channel Master's original bearings consists each of two parts who are pressed together:

1: The flanged oilite bearing with outside/inside dimensions 16.0 mm and 1/2" (12.7 mm)

2: The plain oilite insert for the flanged bearing with outside/inside dimensions 1/2" (12.7 mm) and 5/16" (7.94 mm)

If you read My post from Feb 3, 2014), the plain oilite insert is still the same: http://www.bearingshopuk.co.uk/obi0508-08-oilite-bush/

If you have lost the flanged part, bearingshopuk.co.uk dont mix imperial an metric dimensions as standard.

The flanged imperial standard part they have, which come closest, is: http://www.bearingshopuk.co.uk/bearings-bushes/oilite-bushes/obif0810-08-oilite-bush/ (15.88 mm and 12.7 mm)

Personally I have reused the flanged part, and replaced the plain oilite insert bearing.

Best Regards Michael

I bought from ebay original oilite flanged bearings - now I only need to find out related Inserts
Michael on pics from post 11 you can see that Inserts are not oilite bushings

Hi Samoloko,

In both original CM polarmounts I have, the inserts was plain oilite bushings with the dimensions measured. (Not steel)

Channel Master could have made changes in the production over time.

Best regards Michael

That how they look like (went downstairs to shoot some picture for you). If there is need I also can make more or less precise measurements of those bits.

OK, made another run to the garage, brought home one of the bearings and measured it. Measurements are in mm.

No thread inside, it is just print from bolt used under pressure.

looks like your bearings got a steel Insert not oilite bushing Insert
can you measure height of flanged bushing and height of Insert - I think that Insert Is taller
