I recently bought myself a second digibox and second subscription the box is a grundig secondhand job for £75, after 2 weeks i have lost half the channels! weird thing is i can still recieve other channels apart from BBC,ITV,C5,SKY ONE ETC.

The signal strength is about 75% and quality about 65%, the signal IS locked in.

Any ideas, help appreciated
Thanx
Joe

Without checking it would appear that most of those are on Horizontally polarised transponders. It would be interesting to see if all of your horizontally polarised channels are gone. If you are getting some of each, it may be worthwhile to see if it is only certain channels on the transponders.

This can also be a sign of the tuner being on it's way out, I would also check the other receiver on that LNB.

I tried the other digibox and it works fine, i think your right the tuners on it's way out, would take the box back but it says 'sold as seen' on it, looks like i've been ****** for £75

Capacitors in the power supply have given problems in the Grundig digiboxes, http://www.satcure.com have a kit of caps which may solve your problem, it's worked for me on several occasions.

Hi Zansi, so that's a delicate, but managable DIY job then? Well at least for someone with a little soldering experience.
