Chaparral monterey 140 problem !!

Who can help me with my 140 wich has several problems ??
The problems are:

Restarting is big problem, several times reconnect de AC-plug
The receiver gives a flash on the screen that says (require ac power reconnection to init)
No analoge audio
Change video and audio freq does not run (only by each touch 100khz up of down)


Already done:
I have several times reset the receiver (by AC-connector and also a new init with Volume up/down and power button)
New backup-battery placed
The Power supply gives the correct voltage on each connection.
Front panel looks fine ?
Has somebody an Eprom file for the 140 ??

Who can help me with my problem.

Unless you have something very special, the Monterey design is not a transceiver, though it did/does provide an RF output to a television .

PROBLEM:
Hardware Error keeps displaying on the receiver graphics.
SOLUTION:
The hardware error message can be caused from C31 being out of tolerance. This is a 0.1 uF cap. and should be replaced. It is possible that the cap may have been mis-stuffed or is missing. Using a scope check Pin 6 on U66. This pin should have a negative 0.5 mil/sec. pulse.


This item can be the problem !!

Chappie 140 Is working !!
Problem was C30 in the power supply, the ESR off the Cap was incorrect !!
By replacing the Cap everthing is Ok.
I am only looking for the Hex-file for the Eprom for the 140 (software revision (2-4-97) is: PT# 16-6619-1D ) can somebody help me with this file ??

I doubt very much you will find the software required, unless you sign up to a dedicated forum (by forum I mean something akin to the old newsgroups). On this site, members simply throw complete units in the skip.

Monterey M140 Wanted

Hi, does anyone have a Monterey M140 lying around that they are prepared to sale , required just as a positioner. :) Many thanks Smurf5599

Or you could look for a second hand model on the usual auction sites, copy the eeprom then sell on.
