Just noticed that Thai TGN, VTV4 and TVK have more than doubled their bitrates and no longer look like they were recorded on a potato.

Vietnam & Cambodia were a washout this year. VTV4 went to the anthem & flag raising then straight to the news, TVK had a half hearted countdown to 2018 way later than my radio controlled clock sais they shoul;d have done then back to the dance festival.

TVK had a digitally generated analogue clock which is something but the whole thing was just so cheap. Spent it all on the bitrate?!?!?!

Over on Euronews there was a camera fixed on some fireworks from Kanchanaburi in Thailand but without some wide shots it could have been anywhere. Not good.
