Beautiful mix of graphic art and music ('Ketto' by Bonobo)... and the French lady doing the voiceover doesn't half sound sexy :) :

Design/Style over substance.

The key here is the female v/o on all versions.

Funny anyway.

You given it a drive then? The sister C4 is 'Sub-zero' on the 'Cool Wall' on Top Gear, so I can't imagine it's that bad.

I am sure the Citroen is perfectly driveable ;-)) Just don't quite fancy the art-for-art sake ad - or the v/o (I like the way the porto v/o has to start half way through the ad to get all the copy in, hehe).

Mind, I saw a new BMW advert last night which got my juices going.

You could argue its equally as poncy: but, IMHO, it looked a tad more inventive ;-))

No idea about how good either car is to drive - since I don't drive, LOL.

Moo.

Ooooh , were they re-releasing the 635 or the 3000CSi onto the market again, everything since has been crap.

I had the pleasure of driving the C4 a few days ago, nice dashboard, but underpowered, and I do miss the LHM warning lights telling you that you have just lost the suspension and the brakes are next.
Give me a CX/BX any day.

I guess the thread has moved onto the cars themselves now, LOL.

Bit confused :confused

Yeah, it is turning into a car discussion a bit.

I really like the v/o, the ladies all sound very sexy - which makes it a certainty they are as attractive as Maggie Thatcher!

You can find the English version here - http://www.citroen.co.uk/

Strange, not half as sexy in your own language!

Renault appear to have made reasonable decisions over the women fronting their adverts over the years, the Clio being brought to public attention by Estelle Skornik ('Nicole'), Helene Mahieu (size matters), and Annelise Hesme (the 'Effel' Tower), who all have voices which make them sound undressed and ready for bed, but none of which remotely look like Mrs Thatcher.

Pandering to the lowest common denominator is at the core of advertising.

Sexy body/voice/attitude, works, even when it comes to polluting boxes on wheels.
