This is where i believe the feedhorn should mount against the holder.

Theres also a picture of inside the lnb with a white spec of something on it, but it's unlikely to cause the mass signal quality drop.

Infact if you look at the pins inside the lnb one of them wobbles and rattles, not sure if there meant to do that but i highly doubt it as the one at the back is firm.

Just checked my Inverto twin and both pins inside are fixed and not wobbling about.

Thanks everyone really appreaciate all the help and input.

I'll give them a call tomorrow and hopefully get a new one sent out.

One thing that was really suprising about the inverto's is their size it's so small compared to the invacom 40mm that i took off.

Thought i'd do a quick update.

The LNB was bust as thought. They kindly sent a new one out, but i then went on holiday and have been stuck working on site since. Picked up the LNB middle of this week.

Put the lnb with feedhorn on and signal level has increased throughout the satellites.

The original motor that was on was getting abit noisy and had miss counted on more than one occasion so i thought with the nice weather yesterday (i.e. no rain) i'd take the time to replace and realigned the dish, as i knew there was more to get from the setup.

Result was i'm miles happy with the alignment now. although it was difficult as i can only get 15 west to 28 east atm, makes finding the tracking alittle hard.

Signal level on nilesat had increase by a couple but signal quality was still similar, although it wasn't a brilliant day. Still no H channels.

Wondering if the input from the lnb may make a difference so might try that today.

Oh and i've given in and ordered Sky HD which arrives next friday.

Good man PJ , glad you got sorted finally. A faulty LNB eh.. that was unlucky!
Onto SkyHD , you wont regret that either , despite its critics if you can afford it , its a great buy.

tbh i mainly wanted the HD box for the sky+ funtionality having just a standard digibox for the last 10 years or so.

Only got the 6 mix atm, although i think i'll have to upgrade for a few of the movies, then knock it down again.
