Well it's finally up, the old 1m has been taken down as the top T bracket bent in half nearly.

Heres a picture to reminisce

Heres the new one up.

Solid concrete foundations which aren't quite level although that could be down to mount. So washers at the ready...

Notice the blue pipe in the background, flexible 25mm water pipe from B&Q, i've got loads of the stuff left so no idea what i'm going to do with it all.

The path i cut across the garden. (dam i hate clay)

LNB with cracked holder.

And back of the dish with some extra cable run off.

Overall i'm really impressed with the dish it's just a shame i can only get from 8 degree west to 28.2 east because of the house to the west and trees to the east.

edited to upload photos rather than link to them, which has stuffed the inline comments up and put the first 2 photo's the wrong way around.

Lots of channel masters in the UK.

But do change the LNB and get a original Andrews feedhorn, that feed that is integrated on the Invacom is suited for dishes with F/D of 0.66

Channel Master 120cm got F/D 0.60 so you actually loose some signal.

which c120? invacom or inverto?

Was thinking of buying the feedhorn as i can use the invacom on the old analogue dish pointing at 28.2 on the front of the house for sky+

£60 sound reasonable for a andrews feedhorn?

Found the following, just wanted to check with you guys if this will fit and is the correct one.

_http://www.futurevisionsat.com/catalog/item/691952/559018.htm

It's in the US, but it's almost a tenth of the price of the UK and sounds as if it includes the plastic lnb holder as well.

UK price is £100, for both
US price is $30 or £15

Thanks

in that picture it looks wrong it should be this one, well that one in the pic thats what i got with mine

nice dishes i only have the 90cm version as cant really go any bigger well could will have to see

think why your dish up above the roof came down is the t bracket used at the top a k bracket would have been better and use a t in the middle

The picture does look a little wrong, but for the price posted it's cheaper to buy than just the plastic lnb holder in the uk.

Bit of a gamble but we'll see when it turns up.

As for the old dish it would have been better as you said to have another k bracket further up but problem with newish builds is they use hollow bricks and with the windows being quite close i was worried it would put too much strain on the bricks up there.

Here are the Andrew feeds.

I think its the 1st one you want. (611-6060-10)

The part No on the feed ( the same one as wod`s pic) is
3040661. HTH;)

If you order from that company make sure you order the right one ask them as the one thay are selling there is not not ku-band linear 10.950-12.750 the one they are selling is a dual mode 11.7-12.2 GHz only

The correct one you need is andrews code 611-6060-07

http://www.andrew.com/search/BN_PA-100533-EN.aspx

Andrews feed
Corrugated
10.95-12.75 GHz
vswr 1.3:1
single linear

he said it was $15 extra for the wide band lnb so $85 all in including postage.

The guy i spoke to has been excellent, already got the usps tracking number.

Can't fault them tbh, much cheaper than the only uk supplier i know of for channel master stuff (satellite superstore).

Let you guys know when it arrives.
