Hi,

I share a dish pointing to 19.2E with 3 other houses in our community in Madrid. I was using the (crap) D+ box for a while and have recently moved to a Dreabox 500 which is much more responsive.

More channels, mainly french, appeared in my channel list in the dreambox when I scanned, whcih didn't appear in the D+ box.

I started doing some digging and realised that there are a whole bunch of channels on 19.2E i.e. Premiere. Which I don't get, but some I do (Canal+ French) How do i get the rest of these ?

The dish has a twin (universal) lnb which is into some headend distribution boxes, (I think) looks like 4 little boxes, 1 per house, but a bit of a guess on my part. I'm presuming that these are relaying all H and V frequencies to my coax and box.

So when setting V and H and Thresholds in the dreambox what should I be going for, given it would appear i don't have direct access to the LNB, does it even matter ?

Any suggestions, just would be nice to know if it's possible.

ta

The chances are that it is an old Dual LNB, One horizontal and one vertical output, both with a local oscillator of 9,750 Mhz, feeding into a small multiswitch, so you will only get low band channels. This would be fine for the spanish Digital+ channels, as the highest frequency is 11,739 Mhz, which is still inside the tuner's capability.

Look at this page http://www.lyngsat.com/astra19.html I would imagine that all of the channels you are getting are below 11,600 Mhz.

To get all of the channels from the satellite, you will require a Quattro LNB to be fitted and a multiswitch which can take four inputs from an LNB so enabling high and low band.
