I am thinking of buying an *Sat 6000 receiver from Germany and then patching it. Does anyone know if it will work OK in the UK please?

SHHH! It'll hear you!

Just the plug and the menu language to change.

My receiver's from Germany and we so is my motor - we all get on very well.

You shouldn't have any problems as BG says...

Thanks to all above for your help. I won't mention the War in its presence. I was concerned about any differences in power supply or TV system.

Hi Dippy
No need to worry these days, going back to the 80's Europe was 220V 1ph 50 Hz and UK was 240V 1ph 50 Hz, that situation resolved itself when the grids were connected through the Chunnel and a 230V 1ph 50Hz compromise was reached. Now if only these people could get their act together and adopt one standard socket and plug type we wouldn't have to mess around with different adaptors when travelling to Europe, but of course that would make life too easy and put these Brussel spouts (yes I did spell it right) out of a highly lucrative job and final salary pension.....
