hi all

i read somewhere that the dm5620 (or any other dreambox) allows component video out.

if this is true how do i accomplish this, coz i see no connections on the back (do i use scart?) and i cant see it on OSD

thanks

It is via the SCART connection, I think you need a fully soldered lead (all pins) or there might be a scart to component connector. I've set mine to component and it has no sound so use and optical lead to my AV amp.

It's on my 500s so i should think the 5620 has it as well? is it in the manual?

AV Settings > Color Format options are: CVBS, RGB, Svideo and YPbPr (component).

You can cet a scart lead with all the various connections on it, I use my my camcorder one to connect to my dvd recorder as there is not enough scarts on it. Dixons, pc world would have one.

I think the camera SCART lead is s-video and composite (video, audio LR) rather then YPbPr?

Hmmm, that's looks OK. I think I might have to get one of those and free up a scart on the TV (and more leads to the AV amp :( )

Its not just for the camcorder, 10 sockets on it. Like the ones shown + more inc s video and L audio, R audio, does a range of Products, The only thing about it is its about 7 yrs old and theres better quality ones on the market now.

Homer, I have a TV with component-in but use the component inputs on my AV amp to connect it all to the TV.
