:-hny Hi all, i'm thinking of buying a Technisat Skystar 2 PC Card but can someone tell me if my computer is good enough to be able to use it i have a intel Celeron 2.5GHz Processor (emachine 220)with 256 mb with windows xp anymore info required i try and help though i'm not techinally minded.

That should be fine, although more memory always helps. Only problem you will find is watching HDTV, your CPU will struggle.

Triple Dragon, Dreambox 8000, Echostar AD3000ip, TBS6522,6925,6983 PCie cards.
Gibertini 1.25m motorised dish driven by the AD3000, with either Inverto BU Quad or Norsat / XMW Ka LNBs . SMW 1.05m + 3 other dishes. Speccy: Promax HD Ranger+

Should be adequate, although I would consider adding more memory, an extra 256MHz at least.

Yes, I agree with pinkerton. Graphics memory and system memory may be a bottleneck, but you should be OK with what you have.

Chuck a gigabyte of RAM in there and your computer will run four times quicker as well :D

Good point, pinkerton, regarding CPU and HDTV, if that's his aim at some stage.

Yes, you CAN!

Standard viewer software will do it for you. MyTheatre, ProgDVB etc.

Find a retail STB that can do THAT! :p
