I've just asked me neighbour who used to work for SKY Digital if he could install my Dish and the Technomate TM-1000 D System and he said something about not being able to receiver the astra and hotbird satellites for the following channels;
RTL
RTL II
Super RTL
ARD
ZDF
Pro 7
Sat 1

is there any truth in this??

if so, where else will I be able to receiver the channels??

It will show you every channel on every satellite.

Just click on your required satellite at the bottom of the page.

Your neighbour is talking rubbish. Get an 80cm dish and a monobloc LNB, with the prime focus on Hotbird, and you will have around 500 extra tcv channels to play with!

Do it yourself for nothing (well next to nothing). It's not hard and there are threads here showing you how to do it, and lots of people waiting here willing to help if you get stuck.
If you do cock it up then you can use plan B and try and get someone.
