My Satellite Setup
Manhattan freesat bow, hooked up to an existing satellite dish (probably Sky, but not sure.) I don't have my computer connected to the system.
My Location
Hastings, England
My Manhattan freesat box seems to work fine with the satellite dish in normal mode. BUT....when I attempted to delete a radio channel it froze, then when I turned the box off and on again (hoping to clear it) the signal has disappeared completely. I tried to go to freesat set-up menu, but all I get is the No Signal message on ALL channels. I have checked all the wiring connections, and all looks fine, but the signal check is still coming up as having failed.

Can you try another receiver, it is possible that your LNB has failed?
If the LNB is working correctly try doing a factory reset, on your receiver.

well check the capacitors on it because i had a problem with my old freesat box where there was a delay when powering on and the epg was slow to load all the data

Certainly bears a similarity to typical power supply problems, LNBs rarely fail and certainly if they do, it's not normally quickly.

I thought the Manhattan box was rather new. Has it been kept in a cupboard under the tv ?

Not just cheap devices. No electrical device with capacitors enjoys being cooked in an enclosed environment.
